Let’s work backwards shall we . . .
A doctor does not get to the root of a problem. Most often, the patient schedules a one-time visit, is prescribed some medicine, and is on their way. May the odds be ever in your favor!
A nutritionist gives you a list of foods to eat and a list of foods not to eat. However, for the most part, you already know that – you’ve heard all about whole grains, leafy greens, and staying hydrated. But how do you create time to incorporate these healthy habits?
A therapist offers no mission statement, no goals to set discussions around, no practical tools or recommendations are provided, and there is no end in sight.
To set the record straight . . . I am very much pro doctor, pro nutritionist, and pro therapist if these are the services you truly need for medical reasons. And I have seen numerous specialty doctors, nutritionists, and therapists over the years . . . Yet, no one helped me. What I truly believe now, is that what I needed back then, was a health coach. I am here for you TODAY, so there is no questioning down the road . . . what if?
A health coach is special in that we provide a program for you to enroll in. We will meet on the same day, at the same time, every two weeks for six months, to discuss your health and wellness goals. Think of it as enrolling into a new class or after school activity. I will teach you how to incorporate and make time for sustainable, healthy habits, provide tools and advice that are clear, concrete, and doable for you to accomplish in between each session, and have tangible resources for you to take home. There will be great success and some challenges; but, “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts” approach will prove to be successful by the end of your six-month program, and I will provide constant support along the way.
